HP Deskjet 6988 Printer (CB055A # B1H) lets you print high quality text and color documents, borderless 4 x 6-inch widescreen color and black and white images, and even (up to 8.5 x 24 inches). Create print your own beautiful brochures and spreadsheets, and Web pages, labels and envelopes. The Deskjet 6988 is compatible with all home offices with high volume.
Use with your small network of PCs via the built-in Wi-Fi wireless 802.11g / b connectivity. Ethernet cable to a fast, no additional hardware or additional software, you can be connected to a wireless network in a short time of 10 minutes. You can even by a camera phone or PDA with an optional adapter printing.

Network Printer Perfect for home users, Linux and Windows, first in January 2008 by Jeron Young (Austin, TX USA) - (REAL NAME) This review is from: HP Deskjet 6988 (CB055A # B1H) ( Office product) I'm not sure what the bad reviews. I do not seem to solve these problems. I bought this after much research. You see, I first used Ubuntu Linux and I needed a wireless network printer that I could not configure Windows or Mac. All you need is a web browser (you can use the Wii or iPhone if you really want). I come from a terrible experience during the years of struggle with a Linksys print server Deskjet 932C WPS54G connected to my old (it was not fun).
Kudos to HP Printer! You do not need special OS with this printer! Simply plug in Ethernet and if you press the "Report" shows the IP address (if I cheated and went to the router DHCP tables). You can then access the web interface of the printer and everything works. A dream come true, do not use a wizard or anything. Everything is beautifully done. Works great on my 802.11g network with WPA2 encryption.
As for the pressure. The drivers are already on Linux on it (HP 6980). Print is better than my previous Deskjet 932C. I do not want a super-professional, for me, I used to print maps and recipes. But it is a color proof prints it quite impressive.
How to leave the stickers, the residue. In the past, I added a damp cloth and some Comet. Be sure to rub the comet in the fabric so that it griddy. The dry residue. Nice and clean.
Overall, it's impressive from a purchase price. The built-in wireless print server is easy to install. As the printer has UPNP so my Ubuntu Linux box just seen, and I just set up. The same applies to Windows Vista and Mac should also be seen in the same way. It is nice to have a printer that is not dependent must be placed anywhere in the house of a PC can.
