The Deskjet 6940 HP printer is not your average inkjet. This printer offers the ability to print documents and photos at resolutions up to 4800 optimized dpi for crystal clear prints and exceptional paper sizes up to 8.5 x 24 inches. HP Vivera Inks and optional printing technology and six ink, enabling professional quality images with true to life colors.
The automatic duplex printing feature allows printing on both sides of paper, paper costs greatly reduced. In addition, this printer to print images directly from a PictBridge compatible digital camera via PictBridge USB port built, bypassing the need to use a computer to print photos.

I used it with Windows and Mac computers. I use it mainly for printing color images and graphics are good. It is easy to install and use.
I've never had a paper jam.
Unlike a previous comment, there are large ink cartridges available, the last very well.
Printing is fast and prints very well on the fast (low ink consumption) settings.
I like holding the paper tray, paper award as it is easy to use, and is covered.
It's a good unit being quick and easy I would burn it to duplex printing.
It looks good and runs quietly and reliably.
2010 Edition: This printer lasted 3 years of light use (mostly print in black only) and no longer work ink cartridge. Cleaning and cartridge did not solve the problem. The printer does not work at all with a color cartridge in the machine to work as a continuation of a printer for black only when the cartridge is removed. Nevertheless, it is about 3 years I never received an inkjet printer. I prefer the toner machines have now last longer they seem. I am a die-hard fan HP Deskjet SOME past in order to have-nots really the WOW factor on em '. So far. I bought it recently and it was in a very short time in my network connected, all 5 computers to print simultaneously, and there is no problem dealing with the queue.
I had this printer a 5 out of 5 because of the quality of ICT, ease of use, print quality, appearance itself, it seems very good year with all the black desktop and contentment .

Serious design errors, 21 December 2007 Shattuck D. - (REAL NAME) This review is from: HP Deskjet 6940 Color (C8970A # B1H) (Office Product) replacement ink cartridges, if there is a folding metal spring contacts on the cartridge. Spring arrives in its place. If so, it can damage a circuit installed when the IS cartridge. The pressure is now worthless. I had no luck with the support or spare parts.
