The new dashboard for some will be a new learning experience. Now it is set up in the new Metro UI like the Windows Phone 7, tile based. If you ask me it is a whole lot better then the old scroll up or down to get to the next category like the old dashboard.
If you want even smoother navigation, enable your Kinect device if you have it. Moving your arm left or right will move to which ever category you are trying to get to. Then to select the desired tile, just keep the cursor over it for a few seconds.Need to select a tile een faster, just tell Kinect by saying it.
Next thing to talk about is the new Cloud Profile you will receive. With it you can take your profile, saves, ms points, gold memberships to any Xbox 360 device. That means access what you need at a friends house to keep on playing.
Another interesting feature being added is Beacons. What a Beacon does is let your XBL Friends and Facebook Friends now what games you want to play with them, and vice versa. That means no matter what you are doing on xbox live, it will let you jump right into starting the game and the action.
This new dashboard will bring alot of video watching options with it. Along with Netflix, ESPN, Hulu Plus you will get more programs, where available. Those watchable programs will include Bravo, CinemaNow, Crackle, Dailymotion, Epix, HBO GO, Manga Entertainment, MSN with MSNBC, SyFy, TMZ, The Today Show, UFC, Verizon FiOS TV, VEVO, Xfinity on Demand, and last but not least Youtube.
Look for a full review by Minchkin later this afternoon.
