Battlefield 3 Video Review
Well I think Battlefield 3 made a really good showing with its release this week. Its definitely a step up and a different direction from Battlefield: Bad Compay 2. The campaign may be a little dry, as they almost always are for shooters of this caliber, but I'm guessing people don't play these types of games just to play the campaign. It's all about the multiplayer modes and going head to head against a real live opponent.
When I downloaded the multiplayer demo for this game I was really amazed. The demo was on point. The graphics were very vivid to my eyes and the gameplay was very fluid. I'm not gonna lie, I was getting my ass handed to me on a plate made out of bullets. I'll admit, I'm not the best when it comes to shooters. I just kind of grin and bear it.
I played a couple of session and I was luck to get maybe 3 kills but I still had fun playing. I'll try to work on my gunplay skills. What I noticed about the game is that it's not good to be caught out in the open for too long. I was getting picked off left and right by snipers. Other than that I didn't have any problems. I probably would have to wait and check out the demo for Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer mode to decide which game was better. Check out the review.
I Am Alive: Game Details Uncovered
This game here is UbiSoft's special little project. It has been under production for the last three years and their wasn't any assurance of this title coming to fruition. Fortunately I Am Alive was resuscitated and it's on schedule for it's release late this year. Though I Am Alive has been in the shadows of the most anticipated games of this year it definitely does have a good chance of capturing the lime light for itself. Behind The Scenes - The Controller: On The Battlefield With Jonny Moseley
If you guys remember I wrote about this new show called The Controller, a reality based game show hosted by Olympic Gold Medalist Jonny Moseley. It's a show based off of different scenarios in the Battlefield 3 game. Now that I think about it I think I misspelled his name in the last post. I think I wrote Johnny instead of Jonny, how he spells it. I guess I'll fix it later. Anyways, check out the behind the scenes interview with him.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Video Review
I've talked so much about this game over the last few months that its not even funny. I've been waiting for Uncharted 3 since I finished Uncharted 2 last year. I want that high paced-fast action gameplay all over again. I've been biding my time replaying Uncharted 2 trying to capture the remaining trophies and treasures that I missed while I was completely immersed in the game. Uncharted 2 was really a phenomenal game and I hope that the same level of thrill, suspense, and action transfers over to Uncharted 3. Check out the video review courtesy of X-Play's Adam Sessler.

I don't really know what this has to do about videogames but G4 made it and I just love their G4 Film shorts they put together. This particular piece is part of their Epictober celebration. GameSpot Presents Now Playing: Battlefield 3
Battlefield 3 is finally here. For a lot of people its been a long time coming. I'm guessing this is not just your average FPS (First Person Shooter). This one is going up against Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Some people want one game versus the other. If you're like me you always want the best of both worlds. I always hate having to choose. It's going to be interesting to see how gamers compare the War based shooters. To me both games look very exciting to play no matter what. I may get one title for the Xbox 360 and the other for the PS3. Cross Country Freeway: Need For Speed: The Run Demo Gameplay
Little has been seen of this Need For Speed title but the buzz has been definitely going around. Electronic Arts and Black Box took a different approach with this particular Need For Speed project. The game has a leading character this time around. Yep, that's right! The Run is story driven which means you won't just be behind the wheel this time around. There will be some getting out of the car moments from time to time but the flow of the game will still be fast paced just like all the other games in the Need For Speed series.
The difference between this game and the other previous titles is that this game will be running with the Frostbite 2 engine. The same game engine that runs in the upcoming Battlefield 3 game. Did that catch your attention? I thought it did. Check the gameplay demo.

God of War 2 Getting Glitchy
I spent the whole day playing God of War 2 on my PS2. The game was getting good until I ran into some glitches. I got to the level called Typhon's Cavern and there was nothing but glitches on that level. The picture that you see was glitch number one that I found. Believe it or not it's a cave with some loot but what you see is just complete open space with some clouds. It gets normal once you come out of the cave though.
This was a very important location of the game here which also got glitchy. I was supposed to relieve Prometheus, god of fire, from his torment here. He was hanging from up above this mound of fire. Zeus had turned him immortal and committed him to be tormented by some big ass ravenous bird that was eating out his guts. So I go on my mission and come back to him to basically cut him down. Prometheus drops down in the fire and dies.
Now there was supposed to be some big cut scene right after but that didn't happen. I was also supposed to gain something from Prometheus but that didn't happen either. After I did some thinking I realized that I was stuck on the damn level! Talk about the glitches of all glitches. Without that cut scene happening I can't progress forward in the game. I literally had to start all over. I'm just glad that I wasn't too far into the game. Here is how this particular part of the game is supposed to play out.

Grand Theft Auto 3 10 Years Anniversary
I can't believe that its been ten years since Grand Theft Auto 3 was released. We have been through so many GTA games since then. I remember getting this game for my PS2 ten years back and enjoying every little bit of the game. I can remember spending so many hours on it doing things in that game that you couldn't possibly imagine doing in real life. It was the first time that I had seen total anarchy in civilian streets on a videogame. GTA 3 held nothing back. It was the videogame that I had always wanted to play.
Now ten years later the game is coming back in full form for iOS devices such at the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. I don't have any iOS devices but I still have my GTA 3 for my PS2. So I can relive the madness just like everyone else. Check the clip.

Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone Exclusive Trailer and Hands-On
Ok I've made several blog posts about zombies and about why people like them so much. I may be a little cynical about the issue sometimes but the fact is that people really love zombie games. Otherwise developers wouldn't make them so much. I just wish that they didn't make them all the time. They make them so much that they're in a complete separate genre from other games. I've played my share of zombie games but if I had to pick I would stick with the Resident Evil series. It's a legitimate franchise with a legacy story.
But what if you don't like that brand of zombie game you say? Well there are tons of other types of mindless zombie games to play. If you're the more serious hardcore game you might stray over to games like either the aforementioned Resident Evil franchise or games like Dead Space 2. Or you can play a more casual games like My Zombie Ate My Neighbors. If your someone who straddles the lines between both categories you may like games like top down zombie shooters such as Dead Nation or this particular game Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone. Never Die Alone is a 4 man top down view shooter similar to Dead Nation where you have swarms of zombies rushing at you at every single turn. Firefall "The Dreadnaught" Trailer Exclusive
Check out FireFall's Dreadnaught Demo. Its an interesting design where you have a lot of fire power but not enough protection. The exo suit is too exposed to me. I don't think I would wear that as a battle suit. Proctection is key when engaging in battle especially when you have lasers, bombs, and bullets flying past and exploding all around you.

The Controller: Six Teams Battle It Out Head To Head At A Chance For $50,000
The Controller is a YouTube web reality series hosted by GameSpot where six teams are gunning for the chance to win $50,000. The series is Battlefield 3 themed. The reality show puts 12 challengers head to head, 6 professional gamers and 6 noobs, as they compete in several challenges both in the game and in real life. The challenges will be based on scenarios from the Battlefield 3 game. The contestants will be divided into 2 man teams, one professional gamer and one noob or newbie. They will both have to work together to achieve success in the various challenges.
The show will be hosted by Olympic gold medalist Johnny Moseley who is no stranger to hosting reality shows. Earlier this year Moseley hosted the Ford Focus Rally America TV & web series which featured contestants competing for a chance at $100,000 and a brand new 2012 Ford Focus. For three seasons Johnny also hosted the Real World/Road Rules Challenge where former stars of both shows competed in challenges for prizes and money. Do you guys see a pattern going on here? It's So Amazing!!: Amazing Spiderman Game Leaked Teaser Trailer
Its so satisfying to see Spiderman still standing after all these years with movies, comic books, and games made with his credit. He is a Marvel fan favorite and virtually Marvel's top mascot. He's a household brand name known all around the world. He's always been my favorite superhero since I was a kid. At that time I would mostly buy Spiderman comics which drove me to other Marvel comic books. I also enjoyed playing the old school Spiderman games that were on the home consoles like the SNES, Sega Genesis, and the original PlayStation.
Just recently they released Spiderman: Edge of Time. Now it seems that Activision and Beenox are working on another Spiderman project called The Amazing Spiderman. A trailer of the game was leaked a couple of days ago. If you didn't like the previous games, Web of Shadows, Shattered Dimensions, and the recent Edge of Time, you don't have to worry too much. Batman: Arkham City New York Launch Event Video
It never ceases to amaze me how people clamor over a videogame. I remember when Metal Gear Solid 4 released three years ago. I went to a midnight release at GameStop and there was a long line of gamers to pick up the game. It was my first experience of a game release and it let me know that there are loyal gamers who really love their games. It almost equates to Jordan shoe releases depending on the game. Side Quests and Crafting in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Skyrim is finally here and gamers are need deep in gameplay with side quests and vast explorations. The world of Elder Scrolls is huge and Skyrim is just one big piece of it. 343 Revamps The Halo Waypoint Console
For 10 years Bungie reigned in the gaming industry as they came out with one Halo hit after another. The fans couldn't get enough of it. It was a "Halo Frenzy" on the franchise and Bungie always came through. Sooner or later though the Halo mystic gradually wore down team Bungie and they decided to do bigger and better things. In 2007 they separated from Microsoft Game Studios and handed over the Halo franchise to 343 Industries as the new company of Halo development. 343 Industries vowed to take over the legendary franchise and continue to wow fans.
Now the Halo Franchise has developed into a Halo World of sorts. This particular world engages fans from all over allowing them to be engulfed by massive content such as animated movies, comic books, novels, and other multimedia content such as the Halo Waypoint console. The Halo Waypoint serves as a way of bring the fans of the Halo universe closer together. The Waypoint is a hub for Halo news, media, game tracking, and content. The Waypoint allows for gamers to track their statistics and compare them against the statistics of other gamers. Take a look at the video.

There are a lot of hot game being released towards the end of this year and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is one of them. This has been high anticipated since last year and we have been patiently waiting. No on can deny that they hate this series because htey simply don't. Nathan Drake is a household name now and the games he is in are almost scripture. I occasionally like to Lara Croft's savior while she's been gone. And while Lara was gone Nathan racked up some accolades along the way. I hoping in the future both treasure hunters will be featured in a game together. Batman: Arkham City is almost here. With just a few days away I'm getting excited. Batman is one of the few DC Comic book characters that I love. I'm mainly a Marvel Comics kind of guy but I have my select few favs from DC. We've seen plenty of teasers, previews, and interviews of the game. Now we're just ready to play and go on this Gotham City adventure. Check the review.
Street Fighter X Tekken Hitting Consoles March 6
It's official! Street Fighter X Tekken will be coming straight to home console systems next year in March. March 6th to be exact. I very surprised about this announcement that was made yesterday by Capcom. I though the game would debut much later than anticipated. I'm definitely not complaining. I can't wait to get my hands on this game. It's going to be interesting to play with the different fighting genre's. As long as they have Ken, Ryu, Jin, and Kazuya I'm happy.
There will also be a special edition of the game that will feature a premium package of the game that includes a "build it yourself" arcade cabinet, a prequel comic book from UDON Comics, and 36 gems which are game system modifiers used to adjust the stats of a fighter. A PC version of the game is also in the works as well. No date has been specified for the PC or PS Vita version yet.

An Irresistable Force That Dragged Me Away To The Edge of Time: FFXIII-2 Change the Future
The new Final Fantasy XIII-2 game looks amazing. Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics do some really great CGI graphics. Final Fantasy has always been one of my favorite series to play. It never gets old. I always say the story just gets longer and longer and more engaging. Now over the years I haven't been able to finish a full Final Fantasy game but I still get them because their always future classics. I have finished FF7 and FF8 but the rest I just never got around to beating them. I still buy them though. They're all so different with each game having a separate story thats different from the previous one. I have FFXIII and I'm nowhere close in finishing that game but its still one of my favorite games to play.
This FFXIII-2 game is the continuation to FFXIII where Lightning is taken away by a mysterious darkness into an unknown world. Her sister Serah and Noel Kreiss set out to find her. Check the trailer.

Only Top Gun Status or Higher Up Here - Ace Combat Assault Horizon
I see this game and I think of the classic movie Top Gun. Then I think of myself as Maverick just like in the movie. I haven't played this series since the PS2 but I see it has definitely evolved over the years. I originally had Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies for my PlayStation 2 and didn't know what the hell I was doing. I couldn't fly to save my life at that time. I wasn't good at it at all but I wanted to play it so bad. The only other flying game that I had played before that was Afterburner II for my Sega Genesis. Just watching this video clip makes me wanna get into this series all over again. I think I wanna take to the skies with this one. A true gamer flies solo looking for their next takedown. We know an Ace pilot when we see one. Grab the throttle and check the video featuring the first 15 minutes of the game.
How Fast Can Your Wheels Spin?: Forza Motorsport 4 Video Review
This has to be one of the best car games out there. It's a game definitely made for the car enthusiast. With so many featured cars and tracks the game delivers hours of gameplay. The game almost makes you feel like your behind the wheel of your favorite car. You can actually check out your favorite ride of your own design in full detail literally. You can view the interior and exterior of any car on the game and even see what's under the hood. Its all viewable right down to the complete specs of the car of your choosing. Sideway: New York is Only on PSN
I found this interesting game on the PlayStation Blog called Sideway: New York. It's a game based on the main character getting zapped into a world of graffiti. It's a neat concept where instead of your run of the mill 2D Platform Game hitting it on the streets. This game takes it to the walls, tops, and corners of buildings, and over the rivers and through the woods. lol Ok I'm kidding about the over the river and through the woods parts. Check the video

Prime Target -Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
Prime is front and center in this video. Take a look at the new and improved streamlined Optimus Prime. He's featured in the upcoming game Transformers: Fall of Cybertron by Activision and High Moon Studios. I have to apologize about the video. I got it very second hand via a YouTube member who recorded it from Game Informer's website. Apparently they don't like to share their embed code or links with other people. Check the video.
Avengers Assemble!!
You knew it was coming. The Avengers are in the building. Seeing Nick Fury at the end of those Marvel movies added up to a quintet of super dudes and one Red Scarlet without her Marvel get up. Her uniform is a little more battle ready in the trailer. The Incredible Hulk is a great addition to the movie as well even though he's being play by Mark Ruffalo, who's the third guy within 3 movies to perform the role. The other two guys to do it were Eric Bana in Ang Lee's Hulk in 2003 and Edward Norton in Louis Laterrier's version of the Incredible Hulk in 2008.
I kind of wish they would've added Spiderman to the mix. He was apart of the Avengers in the Marvel comics. They probably held back because of the new Spiderman reboot that's also coming out next year. Either way I love Super Hero Movies and I can't wait until this one releases next year summer. Drake In No Man's Land: Uncharted 3 Takes Us To A Desert Village
Drake is just a magnet for trouble. There's no place that he can't go without getting into some crazy mischief. He's that guy who you always ask, "What the hell did you get us into now?", and he never has a good answer. Afterwards, when you make it out alive, you kick back and knock down a few beers and laugh about the craziness that ensued. I guess it's always good to have somebody like that in your crew. They always force you to live life and feel alive. I wonder who's the guy that makes you play videogames all day is. Oh, that's me. lol Watch as Drake struggles to make his way through a vast desert only to fall into some more trouble.

Bustice is back!! Yay!! lol The buxom heroine returns once again to save us from nuclear disaster. She didn't come alone though. Power Girl has joined in on the damage control for extra "BooB" power. lol smh Yeah I know, its so corny. It's blatantly cheesy. It's almost as bad as Benny Hill but that's why I love it.
