Brink is a parkour shooter game where 2 factions, the resistance and the security, fight for control of the floating city known as the ark. For those that don't know what parkour is, its a type gymnastic skill that involves complex climbs, jumps, and flips, that carry an individual from one place to another in a expeditious fashion. You may have seen these moves performed in movies like Casino Royale, The Rush Hour Movies with Jackie Chan, or the french fan favorite Banlieue 13 or District 13. Even G4 had show, Jump City Seattle, showcasing the skill. You can click the links to get a visual of what I'm talking about.
The back story of Brink takes place on the Ark, a floating city situated off the coast of San Francisco. The Ark was created a haven in case of an emergency such as a environmental disaster. It was only made to support initially 5,000 people but ended up taking on over 50,000. The Ark began to run low on basic necessities such as food, water, and clothing in which the people pleaded for help. The Ark's leader refused them aid hence the beginning of the 2 factions at war.
I haven't played the game yet but I did watch the review from G4 on AOTS (Attack of the Show) with Morgan Webb and Kevin Pereira. They basically tore the game up. It wasn't a good review at all for the game. There was no praise at all. You have to see it for yourself here.
