Size AdviceAlthough most of the negative comments to move in a case of Levi Strauss, domestic manufacturing has focused on the fly button 501, the biggest problem I saw was the old standby 1970, the 505, which a zipper, as opposed to button fly. Variability in size and quality of the seam with the 505 is a problem if you buy online or by mail. You really try to see how they fit. The 501 is much easier to shop online or by mail, because the size is much less critical of the size, which is called "anti-form" of the size, which means no curve on the rise (the distance between the crotch and the top size), since the original 501 were cut just a monkey were to hang, instead of being placed on the belt. The biggest problem I noticed on the 505 is the variability of the size of the thigh area, meaning that a loose fit and some seem rather tight, even though in theory the same size of a label.
