The Wii U has been unveiled at E3 finally. The first thing that pops out at me is that giant controller. Its huge! That's one thing that I don't like. I was hoping it would be a little more ergonomic. Something that would fit better in your hand would've been better. They announced that Ninja Gaiden 3 would be made available for this system. I wonder how thats gonna work with that big bulky controller.
One advantage though that I can see with the controller is with Madden 12. You might be able to actually hide your plays without your opponent knowing. You also might be able to draw up your own plays on the fly. I would love to see something like that.
It might be a good buy though. You could be possibly getting 2 game systems in one. I'm sure Nintendo has this particular controller self sufficient running various applications and games on its own. I'm not completely knocking the controller just yet. I'll wait to see what it can completely do. I would say like other writers have probably said is that this controller is more or less a gaming IPad or other portable tablet.
News at E3 is that Nintendo may only make one controller available for the Wii U but they haven't made a final decision yet. That could be definitely understood in order to keep the entire system at a decent suggested retail price. Imagine the price of one of those controllers alone though? After all it is a game system within its self. I just can't imagine buying the Wii-U then an extra controller I'm sure would be over $100.
Ok, enough talking about this controller. Now its time to see what this whole system can do. Watch the footage from E3.
