Jump on a cross country dash to save your life, literally. In Need For Speed: The Run you play as Jack who enters a high stakes cross country race. He's also on the run from cops, the mob, and possibly a couple of baby mamas. There no info on what he did actually but he's got a few people mad and on his ass. It's up to you to help him make it to his goal.
Oh, yeah there will also be some virtual physical running involved in this game as well. I know what you're thinking, running in a racing game? How could that be? You don't have to worry its not much actually its just part of the high action drama. It's mostly just pushed along with the story. It's not free roaming from the looks of it, actually looks more linear.
The good thing is that the game is powered by the Frostbite 2 engine. This particular gaming engine is also used in the upcoming Battlefield 3 game as well. So look for Need For Speed: The Run to have some intense imagery along with high action gameplay. You start of in San Fransisco and work your way to New York City all awhile evading all kinds of obstacles. If the game has a lot of fast paced action then I would love to play it. The game isn't due for release until November which means I hope that they deliver a demo really soon.
