It's been a long time since I've played a game from the Virtua Fighter series. I haven't played a game from this series since Virtua Fighter 3. Before that, Virtua Fighter 2 on my Dreamcast. That was my favorite one. Virtua Fighter 5 on the other hand seemed to be Sega's biggest game from this series. It's been remixed twice over for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. The game was originally released in 2006.
Now Sega has announced today that they're sending off Virtua Fighter 5 with a bang. Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown will be released for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 for summer 2012. Final Showdown will be a stand alone downloadable expansion to the previous versions of Virtua Fighter 5. The game will feature new arenas, modes, and 2 new characters, the E Honda like Taka-Arashi from Virtua Fighter 3, and newcomer, Jean Kujo.
Final Showdown will also house a multiplayer function and promises no latency or lag just as the recently released Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition does. So you hear that now gamers? No excuses to why you lose online or false claims of glitch cheating or online manipulation. We play to win! Now if they can make NBA 2K play with no latency. I'd be the baddest dude on the court. lol Check out the video.
