Over the last month and a half my game purchase activity has increased a little bit. I bought a few games from Gamestop and I've purchased a few items from the PlayStation Store. I just wanted to share with you guys what I got. As you can see from the picture above I've purchased Resistance: Fall of Man, Wet, & L.A. Noire. These I got from Gamespot.
I know what you guys are wondering, "Why buy Resistance: Fall of Man?" lol I know the game is a bit dated, 5 years to be exact, but before the day I bought this game I had never jumped into the Resistance series. With the hype of Resistance 3 I wanted to get into the series and follow the story. I got Wet because I had it on my Xbox 360 before it died on me. I really liked the game also Eliza Dushku voiced the main character Ruby Malone. L.A. Noire was a no brainer obviously. That was a game I had to get my hands on. I'd have to say that it's one of my Rockstar favorites.
Now the rest of the stuff I got was from the PlayStation Store. Take a look:
Along with buying L.A. Noire I pretty much bought out all of the addons. So I have all the two extra suits and all of the extra cases except for Reefer Madness. I got two of the extra cases for free when I bought the game.
I also bought Limbo. This is one mysterious and creepy game. In Limbo you really have to pay attention to what your doing or the little boy in the game will die a 1000 deaths. Well in actuality he will die a 1000 deaths because this game is hard as hell. Your not gonna get things right too many times on the first try.
The picture is from my last save. This is the part of the game that I'm having trouble with so far. As you progress through this part the water level rises. As it rises you're waiting for a buoy ball of sorts to rise to where your at. You have to jump on the ball and balance yourself until you get to the top. As you rise their is some kind of platform that is blocking your way and you have to figure out how to move it. I keep dying in that spot every single time. Grrrr!
It will be a little annoying as you play but you'll enjoy every minute of it. It's a very simple game but creative and elaborate in how the developers want us to play it. I love the game is in the drab dark and gloomy black and grey setting the scene of Limbo. I also like how the boy is in complete silhouette fashion and has no real identity but at the same time we identify with him due to his circumstances. This is a 5 out of 5 game for me.
I got the Trials of St. Lucia add on for Dante's Inferno. I had been meaning to buy this for a long time and just recently, within the last week, purchased it. I haven't tried it out yet but I'm sure its gonna be just as good as the Dante campaign.
" I am Lucia of Syracuse, patron saint of the blind. Persecuted by my pagan suitor, eyes plucked from my head. My body tortured and defiled. Yet I have seen the glory in paradise. I will be your protector, Dante, as you seek to find light from your dark past, and I will prepare you for the challenge ahead. These are the Trials of St. Lucia". - Saint Lucia
Last but not least, I purchased basically almost all of the Red Dead Redemption add-ons. I left some of the Multiplayer stuff alone. I'm more focused with the story of this game. I got some really neat stuff too. I got the golden guns for single player campaign play. Whatever I kill with the guns gives me more notoriety within the game which means I get more money for completing jobs and tasks for others.
I also got the deadeye add-on which allows you extra deadeye time to kill your enemies. This definitely comes in hand because I can shoot two ducks sitting still. lol I also bought Undead Nightemare. I've been wanting to get this for awhile too. Luckily the PlayStation Store had a sale and I was able to get it half off of its original 9.99 price. So I couldn't resist the 4.99 price tag. Took pictures of the game while I was playing. Take a look:
