Last week I went to go watch Transformers: Dark of The Moon. I definitely enjoyed watching the movie. One of the main reasons why I love the series is because of Shia LaBeouf. The kid is really funny for someone who's not a professional comedian. The way he throws in those one-liners and ad libs always keeps me laughing. lol I've seen a lot of Shia LaBeouf's movies and he's a riot. There's no scene that he does where you don't find yourself giggling.
I was kind of hoping that they would put more spotlight on the Transformers than the humans but I know they have to sell tickets. I'm guessing if they don't install that human element in the Transformers movies then people haven't seen the original series won't be able to relate to the Transformers story.I definitely understand that but the thing is that the movies don't necessarily follow the original series. That kind of bugged me at first but I was more happy actually seeing them on the silver screen. So I wasn't too disappointed about that.
There were a bunch of surprises in this movie. One that stood out was Shockwave. I'm mean the guy looked massive and devastating. He didn't look nothing like that in the original animated series. He was a monster in the movie though. In the original series he was just a purple gun with a British accent. lol If I wasn't 30 years old I think I would be a little scared especially with that scary looking red eye.
I was upset that they killed off Iron-hide. Sentinel Prime made it quick and sweet with his demise with some tomfoolery. I sat in my chair saying awwww maaaaaaan! lol Why'd he have to kill him like that? lol Another surprise was Megatron. He played the biggest bitch in the movie. In the original series he was always menacing cunning and guile. His minions feared him. Star Scream got killed off too by Sam! He bested Star Scream with some kind of tethered metal fist weapon and a bomb. That was really different. lol
In this movie he was definitely sitting on the bench waiting for the coach to call him in the game. He looked like a homeless Decepticon looking for someone to give him some energon cubes. lol I wasn't expecting to see one of the sheiks from Arabian Nights walking the desert but sure enough there he was. lol Three quarters into the movie Sentinel Prime basically put Megatron in his place. It was a sad sight to see. I did like his new truck form though. That was pretty creative how they did that. In the cartoon series he was a gun. I can definitely understand why they didn't follow tradition.
The girl that played Sam Witwicki's girlfriend Carly, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was smokin'! I definitely would've done it all for the nookie for her. lol Megan Fox must've acted like a diva again and they probably X'd her right out of the picture. I thought there would be some inconsistency to the story but they meshed the new girlfriend into mix pretty well.
I'm just glad that they didn't have a new girl playing the old girlfriend. Well no worries because this girl is just as hot. It was funny how her character tricked Megatron into fighting for his position. Of all the times to make a move he chose to take action only after listening to a female. See that get's us men killed every time. The original Megatron was too slick for that. lol
All in all the movie was great. All the theatrics, flashes, and bangs reeled me in. I've been a Transformers fan since I was a kid. Not gonna give it up now. The plot was cliche but like I said because it's the Transformers I'm not gonna complain too much about that.
After a long scene hiatus Optimus Prime finished the movie on an extreme good note. He killed Megatron and Sentinel Prime with one arm Impressive sir! I wasn't expecting Megatron to go like that but with that power move for position he tried to make I should have seen it coming. So thus ends the Transformers trilogy. I wonder if they'll make some kind of origins movie or reboot. Who knows these days. I'm sure we'll all be surprised in the future.
