This game is a game that I played many times on my NES when I was a kid. It was a game in the hood that you had to trade 3 games to get from your friend. Talk about high demand. This was one of the best NES games that was ever made. I played this game day in and day out. Ninja Gaiden had a good story and great game play. The little movie scenes were exciting to watch. It kept you wanting to play more. I'm surprised a movie didn't come out of this, or at least an anime. I guess they made up for it with the Ni

nja Gaiden releases on the Xbox and the Xbox 360. The game is about Ryu Hyabusa's quest to find his father's murderer but his journey takes a 360 and turns into something way bigger than what he intended. One unique thing I liked is that you could hang on to the wall and traverse up or down to wherever you were trying to get to. Another unique thing were the weapons you had to choose from. My favorites were the big red outlined throwing stars and the fire that shoots up in a diagonal direction taking out your enemies who were above you. The levels in the game were pretty challenging. It's fairly easy up until you get to the 5th level I say. Levels 3 and 4 start to step it up a notch on the difficulty but still remain manageable. I hate the part on Chapter 3-3 where you have to jump off that edge and land on the other side right before you get to the boss. I never liked that part because there was one guy on the other side that was ready to take you out. You have to time it just right or else 2 things could happen. Either you made it to the other side and the goon shoots you off or you still make it and the guy bumps you off and you fall to your death. I could not stand that. That's how challenging this game was. You had to avoid the goons or else they caused you problems. It sucks because when you got hit you didn't just get hit. You basically bounce off whatever hits you. That was so annoying. Be it goon or bullet, you were bouncing around. I would curse up a s

torm playing this game just because of that fact. The annoying bouncing hurt you in crucial parts of the game. I used to hate going up on the ladders. Those stupid birds flew around you all the time trying to knock you off. The good thing was that when you were on the ladder you didn't fall off. The bad thing was being vulnerable to the damn birds or bats, whatever was flying around. You're just an open target. The game really starts to dig in with Chapter 5. There's all kinds of crazy characters running around the screen. You've got birds, bats, green ninjas, a ghoul with a sword, a monster throwing white sticks, and some Silver Surfer lookalike that throws some kind of ball at you. After you get through that the game is a fun fest of difficult challenges. Truth honestly, I didn't beat this game straight up. That's how hard it was for me. I cheated. Yeah, you heard me. I used a game genie. They definitely don't make games like they used to anymore. It was a challenge to beat a Nintendo game. Not like a lot of games that are out today. The new Ninja Gaiden games though, are an exception. They definitely lived up to the originals as far as difficulty is concerned. This is an all time classic in my book and I think everyone else would agree with me.
