Well I'm sure you guys have known for a while about the upcoming Halo movie coming to the big screens so I'm not gonna rehash old news. What I do want to talk about is the recent change as to who will direct this movie. Originally Peter Jackson was said to lead the project but has now dropped out. Now Stephen Spielberg has committed to the project. The movie will be titled Halo Reach. It will be based on an adaptation, The Fall of Reach, from the Halo game written by Alex Garland. Garland, who was paid by Microsoft to write the adaptation for 1 million dollars, kicked the story over to Universal for a player deal of a cool 10 million. Talk about wheeling and dealing. I checked imdb and they have a release year of 2012. No exact date has been confirmed. I wonder who will be cast as Master Chief. Christian Bale and Eric Bana come to mind. I look forward to seeing this movie. I'm sure millions of other gamers are dying to see it too. Stay tuned.
