Last night I had some time to kill and I decided to play some Angry Birds Rio on my Droid X phone. Now I don't normally play games on my phone. Its not really my thing but when you have a high end smart phone like the Droid X its hard to pass up. I didn't realize that this game would be so fun to play. It's addictive too. I love the story montage that sets the game up. Now I see why they're so mad. Somebody is always stealing them away. I would be too, wouldn't you?
The game is fairly easy to play even a 3 year old can play. Its all touch screen based. The object is to free birds from captivity by using, you guessed it, birds. You just pull back on the slingshot and let'em fly and score as much as possible. If you don't free all of the birds you have to restart the particular level that your on. I played the game to a point where I was freeing the birds with on shot.
You get 3 different types of birds to use to free the other birds. The yellow bird is your dive bomber. You let that bird fly and get it to a certain area of the level. Once you do that tap the area on the screen where the yellow bird is at and it will perform a dive bomb move into the area that you want it to hit to create some major damage. The red bird is your normal straight shooter. It really doesn't do too much. There's no special feature that it has that I know of yet. You just let that sucker fly and hope for the best. Now I like the blue bird. Its small but it packs a punch. You let if fly from the slingshot and tap it while its flying and it multiplies into 3 blue birds creating a lot of damage.
All in all the game is really fun. I was just all into it trying to free some birds and score some major points. I played for about 40 minutes before I actually stopped. I wasn't even keeping track of the levels that I was on. Now I see why people are all into it. If you don't have this game get it now. Luckily it was preloaded on my phone. You can get it from the IPhone App Store or Android Market. Here some video of the game from YouTube.
